“Aviator, bull-fighter, renowned property investor and railway tycoon” are several things which I’ve never been described as. My name is Iain “Marv” Kelly and I am a writer, producer, publisher journalist, car enthusiast, father and author.
You may have read my writing in the pages of STREET MACHINE magazine, or seen me on MIGHTY CAR MODS or BENNY’S CUSTOM WORKS YouTube channels - I do get around a bit.
This is my little corner of the Internet where I sometimes unleash ridiculous flights of fancy from my car-addled brain. Books, stickers, T-shirts, stories about cars… there’s no formal template to follow here, so when I’ve got something to share I’ll put it on here for a limited time, or you can use the website to contact me in case you wanted to discuss a project you have.

I’ve spent 25-years writing about cars but it was the news I was going to be a father which spurred this passion project into life. What began as a series of short pieces of life advice I wished I’d had in my early adulthood, and was intended solely for my son, spun out of control.
There are now more than 50 chapters in this book, covering everything from understanding tax, to building a brick wall, from entering a room to buying a present, this is the Life Workshop Manual for young people entering the big, scary world.
